Cortney + Nick // Sinclair of Skaneateles November Wedding
Keeping up with my promise to actually blog my work this year, I’m going to start off with the first wedding I shot after my own this past November. When these guys first booked me, they were surprised that I would take it on so soon after my own wedding, but this is what I do! Plus, “off season” weddings are some of the best ones, and nobody loves a wintery vibe more than me!
Cortney’s eye for details on her wedding day was so, so wonderful. I’m so proud of so many of these shots, but I couldn’t have done it without her beautiful vision! It’s always a treat working with brides who are all about the details.
These might be some of my favorite first look photos - the colors, their sweet reactions and first few moments together were so great.
This bridal party were all troopers on what was a mildly chilly day - chilly for being outside in dresses! They were so patient and kept things really fun. We may have all serenaded Cortney and Nick with The Thong Song several times. Moments like that are ones you will be brought back to in a snap when you look at your wedding photos!
Cortney and Nick were the first lucky couple to experience having their wedding at the Sinclair with their new glass enclosure feature fully closed, allowing them open up the garage door and create even more seating downstairs. I loved the string lights and how the night sky can be seen in some of these ceremony photos when Cortney’s dad is escorting her down the aisle, and again during the couple’s first dance photos. Such beautiful moments made more magical by their surroundings!
The rest of the night went by quickly, with almost all the guests hitting the dance floor for some period of time, Nick and Cortney dancing together with their friends and family, delicious dessert and emotional parent dances.
It was a joy being with these two on their wedding day!
