Owasco Lake Water Portraits

Today I’m sharing three sessions in one that really show a piece of my heart and where my mind is at this summer. While weddings sort of took a back seat, I’ve been busy capturing all sorts of special moments as well as creating time to just photograph people that could give me the space to just create some beautiful photos. In the last few years, my business has been so goal oriented - booking weddings, centering myself in that world and just being my best for my clients. Which is still so important for me, but it has been lovely to intentionally carve out time to do other things as well and to also be generous with my time so that others could have photos maybe they otherwise wouldn’t have. These three sessions were spur of the moment and very quick - just 20 or 30 minutes.

Here are photos of Jenna, my administrative assistant who helps keep me organized and focused! She is always a fantastic model and we always have fun creating together!

After finishing up with Jenna, my friend and one of my most recurring clients joined us to squeeze every ounce of light out of the evening. I never schedule sessions so soon before sunset because I’m always trying to produce the most reliable photos, but it was really good to just play around in near darkness and get some really soulful, grainy shots at the end.

A few nights later, I photographed Shamierra! Her gorgeous skin and real, natural beauty is so striking in these photos. She reminds me of Zoe Kravitz here! A boho water goddess!

Thank you soo much to these three women for trusting me to capture you so naturally and creatively, and giving this experience of photographing for fun! It really helped me become centered in my vision going forward and see the power of doing what I love just for me sometimes!
